Annoucement of Winner of 2004 Hicks-Tinbergen Medal The winner of the Hicks-Tinbergen Medal will be announced after the Schumpeter lecture on Sunday Aug 22. This is a medal given out to the best paper written in the EEA's Journal. Congress Card Madrid The local organisers have included a "Congress Card Madrid" (a plastic card) with the conference documentation for congress delegates It includes an unlimited public transport on the underground, buses and suburban trains (to Leganés) for FIVE days according to the duration of the congress. How to reach the congress venue The conference venue (University of Carlos III, campus Leganés) is easily accessible by public transport. The easiest way to get to Leganés (conference center) is by train (ATOCHA TRAIN STATION) EEA-ESEM 2004 will take place on the Campus de Leganés, Universidad Carlos III, Madrid.
Atocha-- Mendez Alvaro-- Doce de Octubre-- Orcasitas--Puente Alcocer--Villaverde Alto-- Zarzaquemada--Leganés. Trains are available every 5-10 min. from 5.30 until 22.00 and every 15min. from 22.00 to 23.15. Trains from Leganés to Atocha are available with the same frequency from 5.30 to 00.1.
To reach Atocha Railway Station from any point in Madrid, participants can take the underground (Metro, Blue Line, Direction Congosto ) and get out at Atocha Renfe directly in the hall of the Station, or walk from your hotel.
